These rooms are always open. They may not always be inhabited by the people who live in them of course, but they are always there, and you can always count on them to be there from now on until forever after.

Hang a left at the end of the hall and you’ll find The Red Rainbow’s official library where we keep all of our books. Sometimes we even keep books in there that aren’t.
What goes on up here?
LEVEL 1 is dedicated to the force of LOVE. The residents of this level are those deemed by Management to be primarily driven by said force. Whether that means the love of art, nature, other people, or simply life itself, is of no consequence. The goal is simply to embody, exhibit, and generally expand the existence of this force within existence itself. This is no easy task. Many—if not most—people have allowed this force to lay dormant in themselves completely, or rather it is reserved merely for the smallest of inner circles. All projects, actions, and activities on this floor seek to understand love, and to enlarge the radius of that circle to the widest possible sphere of influence. To eliminate the sense of separation between the individual self and the whole blinkin’ cosmos. That’s the theory, anyway.
In practice, however, a typical day on this floor just looks like Sal sitting in his room drinking Pink Punch in a high ball glass and talking into a tape recorder until Silverton comes down from LEVEL 2 to check on him. Meanwhile Ashley is usually sleeping. If it’s daytime that is. Her circadian rhythm is all over the map. She’s up til all hours of the night blasting lo-fi playlists to study/relax to while making pixel art and playing video games. Dillon is rarely up here at all, and who could say what he’s doing out and about the Red Rainbow at any given time. Usually there’s a housekeeping bot vacuuming the floor all alone, and a couple of starry eyed patrons making out and/or gazing nostalgically at the sunset city skyline from the balcony. It’s always golden hour on the LEVEL 1 balcony of course because it’s not a real balcony. LEVEL 1 is also where the guest rooms are, which you know full well, because that’s why your’e up here in the first place.
